Miho goes about her days pretending not to notice her husband's repeated cheating, pretending he's on a business trip. As her loneliness and emptiness grow, she notices a flyer for a "remote host." Driven by alcohol, she clicks on it and meets Tony Ataru, a dull but kind host. Miho then calls her husband, who has yet to return home, but hears a woman's voice in the background.
