Mion's family home is a long-established hot spring inn. The inn, run by her father, suddenly went bankrupt due to poor management. She can no longer contact either her father or mother. Mion, who works as a dental assistant in Tokyo, is unable to return to her family home and spends her days in fear. One day, when she returns to her apartment after work, a debt collector storms into Mion's apartment. The collector, who has been entrusted with collecting Mion's father's enormous debt, demands that Mion repay the debt if he cannot contact her parents.
