The man who was the client this time was so pitiful. I felt sorry for him, thinking that someone who cares for his wife so much should be treated so ungratefully. So when he approached me while I was investigating an affair in a hotel room, I accepted out of sympathy. I knew better than anyone that it was wrong, but I got a taste of adultery.
