Born in Ehime Prefecture, she grew up in a single-parent household and graduated from university with the help of a scholarship. She moved to Tokyo and got a job at a major advertising agency. She was overwhelmed by the harsh environment and talented colleagues, which caused her to have a mental breakdown and quit her job. Soon after she returned to her hometown and started living there, her mother fell ill, and now she cares for her during the day and works the night shift part-time. She has had two partners.
